Custom Carved Yew wood slab

One of our totally gorgeous 'live edge' Yew tree slabs, Custom carved and paint filled with any name & date you'd like!

Awesome display piece or great gift for a newly wed couple!
(remember, 5th wedding anniversary is 'wood')

We start by picking out a stunning piece of Yew to suit your chosen name & date.
(approx size will be 50cm+ long, 20cm wide, 2.5cm thick)

each piece is 100% unique.
live bark edge on both sides,
Fantastic white sapwood surrounding swirling gold & cream colors with hints of pink and reds running through the grain... an absolutely stunning wood!

We plane and sand your slab down to a perfectly even thickness, making sure we keep a nice 'chunky' look to every piece.

Then its carving time.
you chosen name & date combo is skillfully designed, so lettering flows smoothly and cleanly... as close to perfect as we can do.

To make the text really Pop against the wood color, we seal everything up and paint fill the text with a Bright White color.

Last steps are a final fine sanding to ensure the piece is silky smooth,
and is finished with a high shine varnish to protect for life.

We will pick out an amazing piece to suit each order,
